Cars on used dealer auctions are sold only to registered car dealers.
There is an arbitration policy for cars purchased on dealer auctions by the dealers.
For example if car mileage is 100000km or less and if car was not previously written off by insurance. Buyer can return a vehicle for a full refund if engine wont start or transmission wont shift or there is a hidden damage which was not disclosed by the seller at the time of sale.
In this case buyer has 7 days since the date of purchase to apply for such refund.
Any newer vehicles still have remaining manufacturer warranties usually 3 years / 60000km or more. That depends of the car manufacturer.
None of auction cars come with SAFETY CERTIFICATES unfortunately. Safety certificate is valid only for 36 days since inspection date.
Usually cars on used auctions do need extra work to be certified: worn tires, brakes, ball joints. That might be a cost of $400-$800 at the end.
We sell used cars directly from auction and our fee is $500+HST per vehicle.
This is what we need to get started:
- Vehicle purchase agreement: signed . ( You agree to bid and pay if we win ) I agree to buy and sell to You at agreed MAX BID AMOUNT. No purchase = no fee.
- Security deposit of $1000 CAD or 10% of the max bid amount ( fully refundable if we won’t win ).
- Each car comes with CARFAX,several pictures and condition report before you place bid on it.
